In your charity, please pray for the soul of Sean R. Johnson of the Hilliard Police Department who died in the line of duty in a training exercise.  May he rest in peace.

A blessed weekend to you all as we celebrate the Ordination of Father Timothy Lynch.  This Sunday a special Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the school gym.  All are welcome!  Know that you can gain a plenary indulgence by receiving Father's First Blessing.  I will be at the Ordination at St. Joseph Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.  Sadly, I must miss Father Timothy's First Mass as I must fly out Saturday evening to Omaha for the First Mass, on Sunday, of Joshua Houck, FSSP, and then fly back to Columbus Sunday night.

Monday is Memorial Day.  I invite you to attend Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  This is the oldest Catholic Cemetery in Franklin County located next to Cooper Stadium.

Adore the Lord in His Holy Court.  Our first day full day of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin Tuesday, June 7th in the Atrium (now Chapel) beginning at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 5:20 p.m. in anticipation of the 5:30 p.m. Mass.  There are still some time slots available.  Please call Ann and sign up.

We wrap up another school year and say good bye to our 8th graders this week. We’ll acknowledge their achievements with an award ceremony on Thursday morning and celebrate them at graduation that same evening. We bid them farewell with our prayers and best wishes as they begin their high school years. Good luck and God bless. Come back and see me!!

The Lord be with you!

From the Cat at 684 S. Third Street:

I see Father Pendolphi's things are passing through the rectory being shipped to his relatives.  I've checked my infallible memory and it has been two years since he died.  It is sad to see his earthly treasures sitting in the hallway awaiting shipment. Just a reminder that things are things.  And there is nothing we have in this world that we can keep a grip on.  The basic lesson is to love people and love animals---don't love things.  Until they invent something that will love you back and has a beating heart, don't make too much of an investment in it.

presence. Lord, be the work of my hands and my heart. Amen.-from Talking to God
