MISSIONARY APPEAL WEEKEND JULY 25-26

Occasionally a dog reads my column (not a bad idea!) and then gets a notion to enter my poetry contest (not a good idea). Well, Phideaux sent in a limmerick that was so awful, I shredded it and wrote a rebuke in his own style!!
There once was a dog named Phideaux
Who sat down to write a limmerick
He knew nothing of rhyme
And even less about meter
And his efforts came out something dreadful like this.
Dogs! Only use your limited skills of barking and pursuing sticks.
