In your charity please pray for Frances Crnkovich, 100, whose funeral was at St. Leo.  Frances and St. Leo Church are both 100.

Congratulations to our newly ordained priests.  The Diocese of Columbus is blessed to be able to ordain six men this year.  Pray for every grace and blessing for them.  Worldwide, the good news is that priestly vocations are up.

I am out this weekend because of a wedding and First Mass.  While I am gone, please welcome Father Michael Hinterschied at the Saturday, 4:00 Mass and Father Sylvester for the Sunday Masses.  They were so kind to help me out this weekend.

June is the Month of the Sacred Heart.  During this month the Diocese of Columbus will be Consecrated to the Sacred Heart on June 12th.  Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a beautiful Catholic tradition--some of you may even have your homes enthroned to the Sacred Heart from years ago.

The School Year has ended well.  We wish every grace and blessing on Luna Alsharaiha as she leaves St. Mary School.  And we welcome Kayla Walton as our new principal.  Sister Theresa, who has worked in the school office for years, is leaving St. Mary to go to the New York area and work serving the poor in a soup kitchen.  God Speed!

The Lord be with you!

From Precious Kitty Love-Love:

I've taken a new assignment and now I live in Tartan Fields and my beautiful new home overlooks a golf course.  These beautiful fields are lettered with eggs—seemingly of the hardboiled type.  The people knock them around and use strong vocal exclamations relating to their success or failure.  Very interesting!  But I am learning to cover my ears for certain words and phrases -- I have never heard words such as this in my life.  I am becoming quite good at anticipating some responses.

I, of course, miss German Village and St. Mary, Father Lutz and my dear friend Raphael, the clerical cat.  My job now is to bring joy to a lovely little girl, Ana.  It is hard to keep her entertained -- I'm on call 24/7--Thank heavens I'm cute.  When I'm too tired, I sleep and my cuteness suffices for activity.  I'm glad someone gets down on the floor and plays with me.  The only time Father Lutz got that low is when he tripped -- and something about his response reminded me of golf!

Raphael could use some fan mail.  He is a bit lonely, but we must do our duty.  If the rectory windows are open at night I can hear his deafening and eerie Song of the Ancestors that he uses to terrify visiting priests who wonder if there is a banshee in the house.  I never sing after ten p.m.  That's the only thing I don't miss.  He's a little out of tune.
