Each Mass on that day will be followed by a reception in the school gym. At 2:00 p.m. in the Church a Sesquicentennial Jubilee Concert will be presented by the Lancaster Community Band. This will be an afternoon filled with the music of our history for the whole family to enjoy!

The St. Mary young couples group will be bowling at Ten Pin Alley (

If you’re able to make it, please email or call Emma and Charlie Sulek at or 614.330.0228 so that we can reserve enough lanes. From the Pastor’s Desk….…

Alleluia, Alleluia Resurrexit Sicut Dixit!

Alleluia, Alleluia He has risen as He said!

An Easter Welcome to all our visitors who are here to share the Holy Mass on this the Holiest of Days.

If there is anybody in church today who is thinking about returning to the Faith, come and shake my hand.  I will be at the front church doors after Mass wishing all a joyful and blessed day.

In your charity, please remember the soul of Father Paul Smith who died March 26th.  Father's body, on Palm Sunday, reposed in-state at Corpus Christi Church from 2-5:00 p.m.  Father's Funeral Mass was on Monday of Holy Week at St. Matthew's in Gahanna where he served as pastor.  Father Smith was stationed here at St. Mary briefly and taught in St. Mary High School.  May he rest in peace.

Congratulations and welcome to those who have entered the Church at the Easter Vigil.  Let us continue to pray for one another.

Thank you to all who enriched the Holy Week Ceremonies by serving, singing, reading, decorating and in any other way helping to give due honor to God.

St. Charles Preparatory High School has made a nice gift to St. Mary.  The sacristy cabinets from the upper chapel's auxiliary sacristy are being readied for use here in our church.  We were also given a marble altar that was once the altar of Our Lady in the upper chapel.  It has been installed in the atrium.  God willing we will have adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in there.  Pray for a special intention.

I have to write this a bit early, so I don't have more news to report. Every grace and blessing be yours.

The Lord be with you!  Alleluia!  Alleluia!

Fr. Kevin Lutz

From the Cat at 684 South Third Street:

I noticed there's bacon in the refrigerator again.  I'm so glad that Lent is over.  I get better treats.  I have heard that ham and bacon are not good for cats, but I was spoiled by an old employee over in Franklinton. Bacon every day.  Life was good and it's getting that way again.  Today, being Easter, I'm getting extra treats--no silly jelly beans for me!  Just bacon!

I've heard the birds singing lately.  They are singing in full chorus with the anthems of spring..., they sound, how shall I say it, DELICIOUS!

Don't eat too many eggs.  They could turn into chickens (so I've heard) and that is my favorite after bacon.

Licking my chops,

Raphael the Cat of Spring with Spring in my feet! **************************************************************

Each time we consume the Eucharist, we are invited to enter into personal “communion” with Christ, to receive His total gift of Himself into the depths of our heart and respond by giving ourselves to Him in love and gratitude.
