From the Pastor’s Desk….…

In your charity please remember in prayer the soul of Jolene Mary Kienle, the sister of Ed Quickert of St. Mary's.  May she rest in peace.

I heard many kind words following the Latin Mass that was offered Saturday.  This weekend, as was announced, the 11:30 Mass will be offered in the Extraordinary Form.  I am looking forward to the efforts of the contemporary choir.  I have heard them practicing.  This may be the first contemporary choir to sing a Latin High Mass in America!  Cool.  Next Sunday our Sesquicentennial Latin Mass will be at 9:00 a.m.  God bless all who have worked so hard to make it happen and have been so generous to allow this look into our rich past to go so well.

Here comes March, in like a lion and out like an arctic blast.  Just a reminder next Sunday spring forward on your clock and change the batteries in your smoke alarms.  See you at Stations at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.  The first scrutiny for the RCIA class will be offered at the 11:30 a.m. Mass next Sunday.

The Lord be with You

Father Kevin F. Lutz

From the Cat at 684 South Third. . .

Now that I have been recognized in printed grandeur, Hollywood has come knocking at Fr. Lutz's door.  See how good I am?  It appears that John Travolta will be starring in a movie to be made in Columbus and some of the props will come from the Jubilee Museum.  I am sure this is because of my book and I am sure that John Travolta is not playing me in the movie.  I just hope that he has a cat to balance his character.  You may wonder how I came to know about this movie?  I don't eavesdrop, but I couldn't help but hear Fr. Lutz talking to one of the prop masters.

If you haven't gotten your copy of the cat book yet, please buy one and support St. Mary's School.  So far, most have sold for $20.  I'm still hoping that someone will buy at least a $5,000 or $1 million copy.  I am thinking of making my own movie; all $1,000 donors will be asked to co-star with me.  At $10,000, I will co-star with you.
