Pray especially for the grieving parents who have lost a child so young.  May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

This is the weekend of the Women's Conference and next week is the Men's Conference.  Please pray for the success of both.

Today (Saturday), the traditional Mass will be celebrated at the 4:00 p.m. Mass as we celebrate our Sesquicentennial and see the Mass for which this church was built.  Next Sunday, March 1st, the Latin Mass will be offered at the 11:30 a.m. Mass and on March 8th the 9:00 a.m. Mass will be in Latin.

The severe disciplines of Lent are upon us.  The success of Lent always depends on our attitude.  The best way to get through Lent is to choose a single fault that you would like to be delivered of.  The three great weapons to offer to God for the grace to overcome that fault are these:  Prayer (pray without ceasing), Fasting (this type {of deliverance} requires much fasting), and Almsgiving (charity covers a multitude of sins).  Thank me at the gates of Heaven.

Dominus vobiscum!

Fr. Devin Lutz

Why are you all living in cold Columbus, OH???  You might in turn ask me the same question.  I am here as a supreme act of sacrifice and obedience.  We're in this together folks!   The days are slowly getting a little longer and I arise about four minutes early each morning.

My book is now available.  If you desire a copy, see Father Lutz, my agent.  I was going to use Amazon, but I'm afraid of Anacondas.  Remember, this is a fundraiser for the school, so please be generous.  My lovely book was printed by Kreber Graphics and assembled by Old Trail Printing, Both were done free of charge (who can resist a cat?)  So that means 100% of the profits will go to St. Mary School.  The minimum donation is $20.00 and the Maximum donation will be $2,000,000.00.  See what you can do.   My penmanship is not very good at all, but I would be willing to scratch or bite the page of your choosing.  Get those checkbooks out and practice those zeros!

Editorially yours,

Raphael the Published Cat

Remember the words of the English author, Belloc, "His sins were scarlet, but his books were read!

Pietΰ offers powerful variations of traditional Lamentation scenes, where mourners gather around the body of Christ, just taken down from the Cross. The Sacred Art Pilgrim Collection is the labor of love of collector John Kohan. He describes his collection as a “record of one pilgrim’s progress in rediscovering the majesty, meaning, and mystery of sacred art…”  A suggested donation of $10 per person is greatly appreciated.
