In your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Julie Wagner-Rucker, whose grandson Vince was best-friends with Fr. P.J. Shelton.  Her funeral was Thursday morning at St. Mary's. Please also pray for the repose of Ida Pinto, whose funeral I offered Friday at Holy Family, and Patricia Bauer, a graduate of old Rosary High School in the early 50s.  Her funeral will be Monday in Pataskala.

Thank you all for your generosity toward the missionary priest who was here last week.  We managed to collect $2,681 for the missions. Donations can still be sent in to the parish office where they will be forwarded.

I have reached the year 64 since my debut into this world.  The only thing that comes to mind is the Beatles song “When I'm Sixty-Four”.  Hoping that you will still love me and feed me, I offer my thanks for the kind messages, cards, prayers and gifts that came my way.  Speaking of the advance of time, it is almost one year since I arrived at St. Mary's.  I remember that weekend very well. It was August 3-4.  I came directly from Father Pendolphi's rectory where I had stayed for about three weeks. It has been a good time.  I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.  I'm not overly fond of changes.  I'm still adjusting to New Coke and Vatican II. (Hit laugh track here).  You have made me feel welcome from day one, and made it easy to not look back or have any regrets.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.

The Lord be with you!

Father Kevin F. Lutz

From the Cat at 684 South Third Street...

Hi everyone!  It's Precious Kitty Love-Love, a.k.a. Frannie X.  As many of you know, the parish festival is coming up soon.  It's going to be as fun as batting a catnip mouse on a string, over and over again!  I like it when it jumps on and off my back and I spin around and catch it with my front claws and then scratch it with my back claws!  It just never seems to get old...  Now, what was I saying?  Oh yeah, the festival!  It'll be fun too, like stalking millipedes, pouncing on them and then letting them crawl away a little bit, then pouncing on them again!  I hope everyone comes to the festival this summer, and bring your friends!  I look forward to seeing you all there...from the second story window in the room where I'll be locked with Raphael.

Kitten-Breath Kisses!

- Frannie X
