In your charity please pray for Sam Farb who died last Wednesday in Florida.  Although he was not a member of St. Mary his widow asked that St.  Mary be remembered in his obituary and that donations be made to help the school. His memorial service will be held at Holy Family next week.  May he rest in peace.

The school year is almost over.  8th Grade-itis is in the air.  There are still a few events before graduation.  This is also the season of ordinations.  Two men will be ordained Saturday for service in our diocese.  Pray for them and for many good and worthy candidates to respond to God's call in Holy Orders.

I would like to congratulate all graduates at any level in the parish as well as entering or advancement in the military.  If there has been a notable milestone in your life, your child, spouse, etc., let the parish family share the joy.

Last Sunday was the last performance of Flaming Graham Krackers.  The students did very well in the very limited time to prepare for this program. Thanks to all who were a part of it.

Report on the BAA.  We have made our goal and are well on the road to debt reduction.  The good news: Pledges so far equal $100,990.  That brings the debt down to $321,010.  That's the good news.  The bad news is:  less than 50 families have given.  No gift is too small.  Please take a whack at this debt and make it disappear.

Right To Read Week was colorfully celebrated by students dressing in costume as characters or authors, books and stories and events.  Do you read to your children?  I loved that.  Such things are the memories that endure.

The Lord be with you!

From the Cat at 684 South Third . . .

Well, you have heard from Frannie X.  Several people could identify with her (shall I say our?) plight. Talk to Father, despite the fact that he refuses to worship me as a deity, he will help you reconcile any situation that needs God's healing grace.

What wonderful little vents are in the floor here.  Hot and cold as the season dictates.  Life is good.  I thank God every day.  I spend the late morning and early afternoon in the chapel.  Wherever you are, thank God for some little gift - even if it's just a warm or cool breeze as you may need.
