In your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Eileen Carol (Janisch) Truesdale, 70, who was a member of the class of 1961 from St. Mary’s High School. She was also a graduate of the Mount Carmel School of Nursing and worked for many years at Children’s Hospital.  Her funeral was held last Tuesday at Mother of Sorrows Chapel. May she rest in peace.

Pray for all who are sick in our parish, and please give a special remembrance to Betty Albert, who is in Palliative Care at Mount Carmel.  Remember also Lisa Landis, 33, a graduate of Bishop Watterson High School, she is at the Kobacker House with a brain tumor. Pray for her very lovely soul as she carries this tremendous cross. Remember, too, Dave Mitchell, who is recouping from a fall.

If you haven’t begun your Lenten penance, please consider enduring this terrible weather without complaint. This has been a winter that has taxed everyone.

This is the last weekend of the great St. Mary’s Basketball Tournament. Many of these games have been more exciting than anything you see on TV. So often in professional sports one team is ahead by 30 points and there is very little excitement. Many of these games with our young boys and girls have had close scores and dramatic endings. I am amazed at some of the fantastic shots I have seen and their excellent passing skills. The best thing about these games is that it’s always St. Mary’s that wins (since only St. Mary’s schools are invited to play).

On Wednesday I will be on St. Gabriel Radio from 9-10 A.M. for the Spirit Drive. Please call in if you would, and make your pledge during that hour. Please help support Catholic radio. Well over a third of the audience listening is not Catholic… yet.

Please pray for the good men and women in the RCIA class who will be attending the rite of election Sunday evening at 6:30 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Grove City.

The Lord be with you!

Fr. Kevin F. Lutz

From the cat at 684 South Third Street

I am keeping my resolution of exalting in my catitudinessness. It has been a flawless performance thus far. I don’t know what some of you people are feeding the local robins, but they need to talk to Jenny Craig. Don’t worry, they’re all safe; I can’t get out through the windows, but I can’t resist looking. Even someone on a diet can read the menu.

My Fan Club continues to grow with every bulletin. My newest fan is Leo Thurn, a man of impeccable taste, astute judgment, and flawless perception. Leo is also a fan of St. Thomas Aquinas, a man who really put the CAT in Catholic.

Jesus Longs For You
The devil may try to use the hurts of life, and sometimes our own mistakes to make you feel it is impossible that Jesus really loves you. This is a danger for all of us. And so sad, because it is completely the opposite of what Jesus is really wanting, waiting to tell you. Not only that He loves you, but even more—He longs for you. He loves you always, even when you don't feel worthy. —Mother Teresa of
