Short on an idea for a Christmas present? The Benedictine Sisters of Our Lady of Ephesus have made several CD’s, which at one point were #2 on Amazon. If you know someone that would enjoy some beautiful Advent and Christmas music consider purchasing one of these CD”s, which sell for $15.00 each. If you are a fan of Columbus Symphony Orchestra and can lay your hands on an old program at least 10 years old look for Martina Snell, a French horn player. This amazing women gave up her chair in the orchestra and became a nun and is today the Mother Superior of the Benedictine Sisters of Our Lady of Ephesus, Mother Cecilia.

Raphael wants to thank his close friends for the toys and treats. He’s basking in the attention and asked me to let you know he does not feel up to typing today because his mouth is full.

The Lord be with you!

REMINDERS

2013 ST. MARY ORNAMENT

This year’s ornament is etched glass with a picture of the Mary and Baby Jesus on it. The ornaments are approximately 3 ¾ in. x 2.5 in. Ornaments will be available for sale in the school gymnasium prior to the start of school and after each of the weekend Masses. The cost is $15.00 each. They will also be available for purchase during German Village Lights. We only have 195 ornaments and sales are on a first come first serve basis. We will not re-order additional ornaments.

We also have some of last year’s ornaments left over.  These will be sold for $5.00 each, so if you were not able to get one last year you still have the opportunity to build your set. If you have any questions you can contact Melissa Kirkwood at mkirkwood@wideopenwest.com

ADVENT PILGRIMAGE OPPORTUNITY - ENJOY A HOLIDAY CELEBRATION OF FAITH

Advent is the time when we are called to make straight the way of the Lord, and you can do that if you want to join Father Wagner on an Advent pilgrimage experience as we tour the Cathedrals of the Ohio River. These two beautiful cathedrals of Covington and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will inspire you to prepare your hearts for the coming of the Lord at Christmas. In addition, two bonus locations make this an even more spiritual holiday pilgrimage. This one-time event departs from Christ the King Catholic Church at 8:00 a.m. on December 14, 2013. You can go to CatholicChurchTour.com or call 614-547-9397 if you want to buy tickets for this single bus tour.

Each Day is a Blessing
We are called to love God and one another. That is our primary vocation. The reason we rise in the morning and the purpose of our life on earth is to learn how to receive God's love and then share it. God's gift of life to you each morning is a sign that He has a mission for you that day.
