An update on Father’s week

We’ll have to wait until next week to hear directly from Father. This week his schedule has been extremely demanding.

The week began with the funeral of Frank Swartz on Monday. I know Father would ask for your prayers for his soul. May he rest in peace.

The week ended with news of the death of his uncle, Emmett Walker, which took Father out of town. He presided at his uncle’s funeral on Thursday. Please pray for his soul. May he rest in peace.

Monday, November 11th Father will celebrate 35 years as an ordained Priest. Please take a moment to thank him for devoting his life to the children of God and The Church. We will celebrate this mile stone during the coffee and doughnut hour this week. Please join us.

We also celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th. Knowing Father’s love for this land I know he would ask that you remember in your prayers all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and all those who serve this nation in our armed force today. We ask God to bless them and their families and for His continued blessing on this nation.

The next meeting of the Sesquicentennial committee will be held in church on Thurs. Nov. 14th at 7:00 p.m.  Bring a generous spirit and your ideas. All our welcome.

As always I know Father would close with the words The Lord be with you!!   And, There There!!

Model the Faith
We are asked to teach as Jesus taught, patiently to mentor the young people and adults with whom we work. If they are to believe and live the faith we teach, they have to see that we believe and live it when we are with them.
