A PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
Blessed are you, Lord our God and Giver of all life;
Through mothers, you have blessed us with the gift of life. Through their strength and love we have been nurtured in body, mind and spirit. Through their patience we have learned to trust; through their commitment we have learned responsibility; through their fortitude we have learned to persevere; and through their sensitive love we ourselves have learned how to give and receive love.
And so, Lord our God, we thank you for all the gifts that are ours because of our mothers. We ask your blessing on them now and in the life to come.
Bless our mother, and all mothers, with health and healing, peace and happiness and joy. Give them the support of family and friends, and carry them safely through this life to eternal life with you. Amen.
