Pope Benedict has proclaimed this The Year of Faith and encouraged us to make a Pilgrimage of Faith. A local pilgrimage in the Roman Tradition is available for the Faithful of Columbus in “The Seven Church Tour.” The Seven Church Tour is a bus tour based on the “Seven Church Walk” started by St. Philip Neri in the 16th century in the City of Rome.  Fr. Joshua Wagner, a priest of the Diocese of Columbus and experienced Roman Tour Guide, invites you to become a part of this Tradition as we visit and pray in the Seven Historic Catholic Churches of the City of Columbus (this includes a visit to St. Mary).  A Plenary Indulgence for the Year of Faith, as well as Mass are part of the Seven Church Tour.  Seats are EXTREMELY limited for this Pilgrimage. If you want to buy tickets  go to

GALA 2013

The Gala planning committee has been working hard at making sure that the Saint Mary Gala and Auction on February 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. will not only be the most memorable, but also the most spiritually and financially rewarding for all involved.  We anticipate record-setting levels of giving throughout this fundraising event which features a silent auction and a live auction (new this year!).  Funds raised will help to bridge “the gap” between tuition income and the actual cost of educating a child.  Additionally, this year’s fund-a-need portion of the event will focus on the specific goal of raising at least $10,000 that will go toward the purchase of twenty new iPads for the classrooms.  You may preview auction items after the Masses on the weekend of January 26-27.

Here’s a sneak peek at the Live Auction Items up for bids:

Ø   Gymnasium Naming Rights

Ø  4 Terrace Table Tickets to Columbus Bluejackets

Ø  A Columbus “Staycation

Ø  A Stay at the Palm Bch. Ritz Carlton & aFamily Portrait

Ø  A Private Party for 30 people at Gresso’s

Ø  A Week’s Vacation in Daytona Beach, Florida

Ø  Reserved Pew for 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass

Ø  Wrigley Field Experience & a 3 Night Chicago Stay

At the rear of the Church throughout this weekend in alphabetical order according to the last name of the family are the required IRS statements for donations to the Church of $250.00 or more. If you are expecting one of these statements for tax purposes please pick up your statement following Mass. We can reduce the cost of postage if we do not have to mail your statement. Any statements not picked up will be mailed. Thank you.

STATIONS @ ST. LEO     are scheduled for Thursday throughout Lent at 3:00 p.m. The dates are: Feb. 14, Feb. 21, Feb. 28, Mar. 7, Mar. 14, and Mar. 21.
