HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
Grade Scholarship Test. St. CharlesPreparatory School will offer its annual scholarship
test to prospective students at and on Saturday, January 26, in the
Robert C. Walter Student Commons. The test results are used to help determine
who will receive academically based scholarships and grants offered by the school
to its students in the 2013-2014 school year. The test
is open to all 8th grade boys who are currently enrolled at any of
the public, parochial, and private elementary or middle schools in Franklin or
the other surrounding counties that comprise Central Ohio. Anyone interested in sitting for
Charles scholarship test must register by calling Laurie Berndt in the school
office at 614-252-6714 between and Monday through Friday.

LIFE MASS – JANUARY 22
Campbell will be the celebrant at a Respect Life Mass on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at St.
Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Broad Street, Columbus.
On this day of the anniversary of the United States Supreme Court decision Roe
our diocese will join all of the dioceses of the United
States in observing a Day of Prayer for
the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. We hope you can come.
RALLY FOR LIFE AT THE
STATEHOUSE -JANUARY 22
A Rally for Life
sponsored by Greater Columbus Right to Life will be held following the Mass at at the Statehouse west
plaza. Many of those participating in the Mass will be walking to the

March for Life in Washington, DC, on

SOCIETY FOR THE PROPAGATION OF THE
The weekend of January 19 and 20 is
a renewal weekend for membership in the Society for the Propagation of the
Faith. To join, please use your pre-printed collection envelope or mark
you contribution according. Members of the Society receive the graces of 15,000
Masses celebrated each day by missionaries for its members – living or
deceased. Mass is also celebrated daily for Society members at Saint Peter’s
Basilica in Rome.
ØA portion of the money raised at
this year’s Gala & Auction will be used to help our school purchase 20
additional iPads to use in the classrooms. With the
15 iPads they already have, this will give the school
a complete set, so teachers can use them for projects with an entire class.
Each iPad costs $499. Please consider helping us
