HOLY FAMILY SOUP KITCHEN…. is in need of volunteers who can help set up & serve meals to the homeless Monday thru Friday.  Hours are flexible: anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 12:30.  Meals are served at 10:30 a.m., cafeteria style.  Cleanup continues until 12:30. Ø  Dec. 8th, The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a Holy day of obligation; Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.

Ø  Advent Penance Service is scheduled for Dec. 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi.

Ø  The wedding music workshop held monthly on the third Monday of each month will not meet in December.

Ø  Christmas Eve, 4:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m. and Midnight (note this is a slight change from previous years)

Ø  Christmas Day @ 10:00 a.m.

Ø  There will be no 8:20 a.m. Mass on December 26, 2012 and January 2, 2013.


Winter Bliss
Good and gracious God, thank you for winter’s beauty and the silence of this holy season.
Thank you for the love that surrounds me in my family and friends. But most of all, thank you for your gentle presence in every moment of my day. Amen.



A team of people will gather to decorate the Church   immediately following the 11:30 a.m. Mass on December 23rd. All are welcome and many are needed. If you can spare an hour or so to decorate the Sanctuary please see Amanda Walker or contact the parish office.





St. Mary will host youth and young adults from throughout the Diocese on Thurs. Dec. 13th at 7:00 p.m. Our young adults in grades 9-12 are invited to join this dynamic group.




The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders will present the annual St. Mary Christmas program in Church on Monday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m.

Both our Bible study group and the RCIA class will suspend their weekly sessions during the Christmas/New Year holiday. There will be no RCIA or Bible study on Dec. 26, 2012 or Jan. 2, 2013. Regular meetings for both these groups will resume on Jan. 9, 2013.


COLUMBUS THEOLOGY ON TAP'S …final fall 2012 gathering is Thursday, December 13.  Our topic is:  [Advent]ageous: Prayerfulness: Seeking the Heart of God.
Speaker Beth Simmonds will be joining us at El Vaquero on
2030 Olentangy River Rd, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Please join in our winter wear & canned food drive as well.  All unwrapped hats/gloves/socks or canned food brought to the December Theology on Tap will be donated to help homeless and underprivileged young adults ages 14 and up in Columbus
Theology on Tap is an invitation for young adults to learn more about their faith and to share in their Catholic
