URGENT FOOD NEED AT ST. FRANCIS CENTER

Our Center is in a dire predicament.  The food bank from which we purchase our food has a nearly bare warehouse.  We have not been able to purchase a full supply of canned goods for several weeks and are very concerned for our neighbors in need.  In order to serve all those requesting assistance we have decreased the amount of food given to our bigger families. We are asking for any assistance that the individuals and parishes are able to give.  Canned food drives are wonderful.  Things like peanut butter, soup, tuna, applesauce, corn, green beans and boxes of macaroni and cheese would allow us to continue to serve our community.  Financial donations are also welcome. Please contact Lisa Keita at 740-596-5820 or email lkeita04@hotmail.com.  Our address is 108 W. Mill Street, McArthur, Ohio  45651.  God Bless you and thank you for helping us to serve these children of God.

A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Due to the significant number of maintenance issues the parish is facing regarding the church and other historical parish buildings this coming fiscal year, we will be establishing a grant writing committee to seek funding to cover some of the costs the parish will incur. We are asking any parishioner who has had experience writing grants and who would be interested in becoming a member of this committee to please contact Pam Makowski by e-mail or phone.  (pamela.makowski@gmail.com or 614.583.9149)
