Our 2012-13 Bishop’s Annual Appeal campaign totals to date are $65,232.00. We have exceeded our goal of $53,597.00 and all funds above our goal will return to St. Mary to address the many projects that are in the works to maintain our St. Mary campus (buildings and grounds). If you have not given to date please prayerfully consider making a donation, as every dollar received from this point forward will come back to us. Tuesday, June 5th at 7:00p.m.the Knights of Columbus Council 5429 will show the movie, A Voice for Life, The Melissa Ohden Story.  Melissa is the survivor of a failed saline infusion abortion in 1977.  Fulfilling the purpose that she believes God set out for her when He saved her from the certain death of the abortion attempt, Melissa is truly a voice for the voiceless.  Pro-Life advocates who appear in this film include Melissa Ohden, Fr. Frank Pavone, John C. Wilke, MD, Alveda C. King, Fr. Jonathan Morris, Dr. Theresa Burke and Michael Clancy.

Melissa is also the keynote speaker for the 2012 Greater Columbus Right to Life Spiritus Banquet to be held at Villa Milano August 19th.  Council 5429 purchased a table for 10 at the banquet and will donate those 10 dinners by holding a raffle for all those who attend the movie presentation on the 5th.  A panel of local pro-life advocacy groups will be available after the movie for Q&A.  Refreshments will also be served. Believe it or not we are coming to the end of the 2011-12 school year. Baccalaureate and graduation for our 8th graders is Monday, June 4th. The last day of school for grades K-7 is Wednesday, June 6th.  To our 8th graders we congratulate you and wish you every success as you move onto high school. To our students getting ready for summer break have a safe and enjoyable summer. We’ll see you in August!! You will all be in our prayers.

The 35th annual Diocesan Senior Citizens Day Celebration will be held on
Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at St. Cecilia Church, 434 Norton Road. Bishop Frederick F. Campbell will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Mass will be followed by a luncheon. This annual event is a great opportunity to meet with seniors from around the Catholic Diocese of Columbus.  Registration for the celebration is $10. Vocations, in an Age of Choices

Join The Catholic Foundation, 257 E. Broad Street, on Tuesday, June 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. In an age of so many choices are we becoming a people unable to choose and unable to commit? What does living a life of holiness mean to me and what is my vocation? Vocations come in many forms such as the sacrament of marriage, helping each other get to heaven, fostering our youth, consecrated religious orders and clergy and a life of prayer. Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring Megan Thompson from St. Agatha as she discusses youth ministry and her journey, Aaron Richards from St. Agatha as he discusses marriage and young adult ministry, Chuck & JoAnn Wilson from St. Andrew as they discuss bringing your children up Catholic & marriage, Fr. Paul Noble from the Diocesan Office of Vocations as he discusses religious orders and clergy and Seminarian Andrew Maynard from St. Mary of the Assumption, Lancaster, as he discusses discerning his calling. SCHMECKFEST: A CULINARY FEAST OF GERMAN FOOD….The Germania Singing and Sport Society is having a "Schmeckfest!"  "Schmecken" is the German word meaning "to taste," so a Schmeckfest is a "Tasting Festival,"  where guests can try a variety of authentic German dishes prepared by Germania members.   This is the third year for this popular event.   Some of the specialties will be Rouladden,  Saurbratten,  "Gulyas,"  Cabbage Rolls,  Sourkraut,  and Red Cabbage, Schnitzel,  Spaetzle,  Soups,  and a variety of desserts!
