NEEDED - BABY FOOD JARS

We are in need of small baby food jars for use at baptisms. If you have a new baby or know of someone that does please save your jars and ask them to do the same. You can drop them off at the parish office or leave them at the rear of church when you come to Mass.  Thank you.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

MISSION NIGHT

On Sunday, April 22nd at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Rd. Bill Nathan from Port-au-Prince, Haiti will share his life story with us as a slave, a musician, and a survivor of the earthquake on January 12th, 2010 where he fell 7 floors as the building collapsed beneath him. Bill is a 26 year old professional drummer and has performed in Toronto, Canada for Pope John Paul II, in Washington D.C., in New York and all over the world. What does it mean to be a restavek??? Come and hear his story and see his AMAZING ability with the drums. The presentation should last 60-90 minutes. A person like this doesn’t come around often, let’s take this opportunity to meet, greet and enjoy this outstanding individual. All are welcomed – youth and adults!  A free will offering will be taken.

ST. MARY SPRING FLOWER SALE

LAST CHANCE!!!! The St Mary Spring Flower Sale has been extended for one more week.  By ordering flowers through the St Mary Flower Sale you are helping the Parent & Teacher League support our students and our School. Flower orders will be accepted through Friday, April 20th and flower pick up is scheduled for Friday, May 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Father Franks has graciously offered his front yard as the pick-up area. Pick up an order form at the rear of Church. STREET CLEANING SEASON IN THE VILLAGE

The City of Columbus street cleaning schedule from April thru October 2012: between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. there is no parking allowed on:

ü  City Park Avenue from Livingston to Stewart

ü  Third Street from Livingston to Reinhard

ü  Mohawk Street from Livingston to Reinhard

Streets will be cleaned on the west side the second Tuesday of every month and on the east side the second Wednesday of every month. Your car will be towed if you are parked in these restricted areas during the hours noted above. If your car is towed, call 614.645.6400.

 

SPECIAL COLLECTION WEEKEND

Next weekend we will take up the collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. This collection supports Catholic organizations that provide food, shelter, medical care, catechesis and companionship for the lonely in a region still struggling in the aftermath of atheistic Soviet rule. Your donations help to restore the strength of the Church in this region. Please mark you contribution accordingly.

 

DOMINICAN SISTERS OF PEACE…invite single women ages 18 to 45 to a week-long service opportunity from May 14 – 20, 2012. Come and work with our Sisters and staff as we care for the land, life and spirit. Meals and housing are provided.
