2011-12 RCIA

The RCIA topic of discussion this week will be “Heaven, Hell and Purgatory”.  The presenter will be Andrew Pasternack. If you are interested in learning more about your Catholic faith please plan to attend any or all of these sessions.  All are welcome.  Please pray for all our Candidates and Catechumens as they journey ever closer to full Communion in the Holy Catholic Church.

 

The 4-S CLUB….will have a fish fry each Friday of Lent beginning Feb. 24th. The hours are 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. or until they run out. Cost is $11.00 for all you can eat fish plus 2 sides. Carry out is available, call 443.0524.

 

PRAYER LIST

Longtime and faithful parishioner, Martha Goodwin is now residing at Summit Trace Healthcare Center, located at 935 No. Cassady Ave., Columbus, OH 43219, Room# 408. She asked that her parish family be made aware of her new address. In addition to her faithful attendance at Mass, Martha served our school library for more than 40 years.

IMPORTANT DATES DURING LENT

Ø       Stations of the Cross at St. Mary, St. Ladislas and Corpus Christi will be held at 7:00 p.m. every Friday evening throughout Lent. The schedule is as follows:

JOSEPHINUM SPRING OPEN HOUSE

The Pontifical College Josephinum welcomes the general public to its Spring Open House on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Explore the beautiful buildings, chapels and grounds of the only pontifical seminary outside of Italy. Staff and seminarians will offer tours of this majestic landmark, highlighting its Gothic architecture, extensive woodwork, stained glass, terrazzo floors, intricate brickwork and sacred art. Rare books and manuscripts from the Josephinum library will be exhibited; seminary memorabilia will be available for purchase. Admission and parking are free. Tours will begin every half-hour and are approximately 45 minutes in duration, followed by refreshments. Reservations encouraged but not required. ST MARY SCHOOL NEWS

St. Mary Music Department invites you to its annual spring musical! Our students in grades 5 thru 8 will entertain you by presenting "Into the Woods" on Friday, March 23rd at 1:15 and 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 24th at 7:30 p.m.  Admission: Adults, $5 / students, $3.00.Concessions available.

WALKING STATIONS OF THE CROSS….will again be observed by our Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the Office of Social Concerns. The Walking Stations takes place every Good Friday, April 6, 2012, beginning at St. Joseph's Cathedral at 8:00a.m. We will be praying the Stations of the Cross while visiting various sites that remind us that sin and hurt are very present in our everyday lives.

 

CATHOLIC YOUTH SUMMER CAMP

To apply for the $100.00 Service Scholarship toward the cost of attending Catholic Youth Summer Camp please contact Ann Anderson at the Parish office to make arrangements to fill out the service agreement, to be signed by both parent and student.
