2011-12 RCIA

The RCIA topic of discussion this week will be “Lent”.  The presenter will be Mike Keebaugh. If you are interested in learning more about your Catholic faith please plan to attend any or all of these sessions.  All are welcome.

 

WELCOME FATHER PAUL NOBLE…..Diocesan Director for Vocations, who will join us for all the Masses the weekend of February 18th. Father Noble will speak about the vocation to the priesthood.  The work of promoting priestly and religious vocations is the responsibility of all in the Church.  We are all invited to join him in this vital ministry of the Church.

 

CHARISMATIC MASS at ST MARY

St. Mary will host a Charismatic Mass on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 beginning with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., praise and worship at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7:30 p.m. Father Franks will celebrate this Mass. 

 

CENTRAL OHIO IRISH ORGANIZATIONS…will celebrate Mass at St. Mary on Feb. 18th. The combination of all the Irish groups is called “Clan na NGael”, which is Gaelic for “One Family Irish”

 

LITURGICAL MINISTER – CHANGES

Effective immediately we are reducing the number of stations for Holy Communion at each Mass. There will now be 2 stations for the Body of Christ and 4 stations for His Precious Blood. We will continue to take Holy Communion to the music ministers in the choir loft during the 9:00 Mass. JOSEPHINUM’S 7TH ANNUAL IRISH FEST IS FEBRUARY 25…..The Pontifical College Josephinum welcomes you to its seventh annual Irish Fest on Feb. 25, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  The event celebrating Irish culture and heritage will be preceded by Mass at

4:30 p.m. in the seminary’s main chapel, followed by an evening of traditional Irish music, food and dance. 100% of the proceeds assist seminarians with medical bills, books and office supplies, computers, and travel home for family emergencies.Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $20 for adults and $5 for youth age 11-16. Children under 11 are free. Pre-sale tickets ($15 adults; $5 youth age 11-16) may be purchased until 4 p.m. on Friday, February 24. 2012 DIOCESAN YOUTH RALLY- MARCH 10-11 

The Youth Rally is a 2-day celebration of high school Catholics with Bishop Cambell, keynote presentations, workshops, Mass, music, prayer, and meeting other Catholic friends from all around the Diocese of Columbus. This year's featured keynote is Fr. Steve Ryan, S.D.B., who is the Director of Youth Ministry for the Salesians of Don Bosco. This event will be held at St. Paul, Westerville.

Ø       February 22, 2012, Ash Wednesday, Masses will be celebrated at 8:20 a.m.; noon and 7:00 p.m. Please note all proceeds from our Ash Wednesday collections will be contributed to JOIN, Joint Organization for Inner City Needs.
