The topic of this week’s RCIA session is “The Trinity”. The presenter will be Deacon Michael Ross. It is still not too late, if you know anyone that is interested in learning about the Catholic faith; has been away from the church; has not been confirmed; or if you would like to be a sponsor for someone this year, then the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is for you. All are welcome.
This weekend’s bulletin will include the last of three (3) inserts that discuss the forthcoming changes to the Mass.
Changes to the Mass will begin with the 1st Sunday of Advent, Nov. 27, 2011.

Boy Scout Pack 456, hosted by St Mary Church as part of their youth ministry program is having their annual popcorn sale. Over 70% of monies raised goes to local scouting. Look for the sale on the front lawn of the rectory after masses the weekend of Oct. 15-16, 2011. BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
‘Life Matters’ is the theme of Pregnancy Decision Health Centers as they help women choose alternatives to abortion. There are still a few baby bottles left at the back of the church. Please pick one up, take it home and fill it with your loose change. Return the bottle the last weekend in October. Every time you place change in the baby bottle, pause to pray for the dear souls who walk into the offices of PDHC.

JOSEPHINUM FALL OPEN HOUSE: The Pontifical College Josephinum welcomes the general public to its Fall Open House on Sat., Oct. 22, 2011, from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Explore the beautiful buildings, chapels, and grounds of the only pontifical seminary outside of Italy. Staff and seminarians will offer tours of this majestic landmark, highlighting the extensive woodwork, stained glass, terrazzo floors, intricate brickwork, and sacred art. Rare books and manuscripts from the Josephinum library will be exhibited, and seminary memorabilia will be available for purchase. Admissions and parking are free. Tours will begin every half hour and are approximately 45 minutes in duration, followed by refreshments. Reservations welcome but not required.
