NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

BAA UPDATE

We did it… we even surpassed our goal!! The latest report for the  2011 BAA Appeal shows the we exceeded our goal by slightly over $2,000.00 and we increased our family participation by approximately 33% (from 12% in 2010 to 16% in 2011). Thanks so much to everyone who gave to this year’s BAA. It is never too late to make a pledge/donation, keeping in mind that all monies over and above our goal return to St. Mary

REMEMBERING OUR SHUT-INS

2011 ST. MARY HOMECOMING FESTIVAL NEWS

v      Thank you to everyone that has responded to our personal appeal for volunteers, however, volunteers are still needed. Please contact the parish office if you can spare a couple hours to make this event a smashing success.

v      As in past years, our recycle containers will be removed from the parking lot to accommodate festival set up. The newspaper bin has been removed; the aluminum recycle container will be removed on Aug. 3rd. Both recycle containers will be back on the lot the week of August 15th.

v      We will have posters in the back of the church for anyone that has a location to display these signs.

v      St. Mary Library will hold its annual Used Book sale during the Homecoming Festival.  Look for us near the children's games.  If you have donations of gently used books to donate to our book sale, please bring them directly to our sale table at Homecoming.

v      We are only a weekend away. Don’t forget to get your raffle tickets in for the Saturday evening drawing. Pray for good weather and come have a good time.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE, SUPPORT AND PRAYERS

My Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

What a joy it has been to share this past year and a half with you. I have so enjoyed the members and families of the wonderful St Mary community and it will be so hard to say farewell.

I also wanted to let you all know how much I appreciated the outpouring of cards, gifts and well-wishes last weekend.  I am overwhelmed by such kind generosity.

I hope each of you know how much you have all impacted my life and ministry, and I will carry you in my heart always. Be assured of my prayers.

THE LORD OF HOST IS WITH US, THE GOD OF JACOB IS OUR STRONGHOLD.

God bless you. Fr Sylvester Onyeachonam

25th July 2011.
