JORDAN CONFERENCE     

The quarterly Jordon Conference for parents who wish to have a child baptized will be held on Tues. May 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the atrium. Please contact the parish office at 445-9668 or email Ann at ann@stmarygv.com to confirm your attendance.

 

BAA KICK OFF WEEKEND

The 2011-12 Bishop’s annual appeal will kick off next weekend, April 30-May 1. The campaign this year will be a regular one year campaign. Our 3-year Bells of St. Mary/BAA campaign wrapped up in 2010.

 

BIBLE STUDY…will take a two week break  during Easter.  The regular schedule will resume on Wed. May 4th. Meetings are held in the Specht Center at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome.

ST MARY SCHOOL NEWS

St. Mary School is renting tables for the annual Village Valuable Sale on Saturday, May 14, 2011.  Village Valuables is the biggest yard sale in Columbus and the entire village will be hopping with folks from all over the city who are looking for bargains and treasures.  Tables are on the front lawn of the school --a prime location!  Rent a table (or two) -- the profit is all yours!  Table rental: $25.00; each additional table is $20.  Please call the school library @ 443-2432 or email Ms. Ruefle at aruefle@cdeducation.org to secure your tables.

 

PONTIFICAL COLLEGE JOSEPHINUM & CATHOLIC YOUTH SUMMER CAMP…will welcome youths in grades

8-12 to a Lock-In on Saturday April 30th, 2011 from 10:00 p.m. to Sunday 9:00 a.m. Join us for an evening like no other as we celebrate the Beatification of Pope John Paul II, beloved advocate of the youth.  Brought to you by: The Pontifical College Josephinum and Catholic Youth Summer Camp. The cost is $10.00 per person, which includes all activities, food, and a commemorative T-shirt. St. Mary will pick up the fees for any student that participates in this event. SENIOR CITIZENS DAY CELEBRATION IS MAY 17

The 34th annual diocesan Senior Citizens Day Celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus.  Bishop Frederick F. Campbell will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Mass will be followed by a luncheon.  Registration for the celebration is $15.  To register, please send a check payable to the Office for Social Concerns, Catholic Diocese of Columbus, 197 E. REMINDER

Spring and summer street cleaning throughout German Village began in April. Streets are cleaned on the west side of Third Street every 2nd Tuesday of the month and on the east side of Third Street every 2nd Wednesday from April to October between the hours of 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Parking violations are strictly enforced during those times.

 

RCIA….the session this week is The Vigil Experience/Stewardship-Time-Talent-Treasure. Classes are held each Thurs. at 7:00 p.m. in the Atrium.  All are welcome!
