St. Mary School is renting tables for the annual Village Valuable Sale on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Village Valuables is the biggest yard sale in Columbus and the entire village will be hopping with folks from all over the city who are looking for bargains and treasures. The 34th annual diocesan Senior Citizens Day Celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus. Bishop Frederick F. Campbell will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be followed by a luncheon. Registration for the celebration is $15. Spring and summer street cleaning throughout German Village began in April. Streets are cleaned on the west side of Third Street every 2nd Tuesday of the month and on the east side of Third Street every 2nd Wednesday from April to October between the hours of 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Parking violations are strictly enforced during those times.
