BISHOP HARTLEY CHEM
Are you tired of doing the same old things each summer? Would you like to get a head start on high school, and have a summer experience worth talking about in the fall? Then you need to check out Bishop Hartley's Chem Camp 2011 for students who will be going into the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in the fall of 2011. You'll learn science by doing science and see what chemistry is all about as you conduct experiments in a high school chemistry laboratory. You'll also be amazed as you observe dozens of chemical demonstrations. You may begin to look at the world around you in a whole new way. Don't wait until high school to find out what doctors, chemists, veterinarians, pharmacists, and forensic scientists already know - that chemistry is amazing and powerful. June 20-24, from 9:00 a.m.- noon, email firstname.lastname@example.org for a registration form! Register by June 6.

THE WAY OF THE CROSS
Join us on Monday, April 4th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Newman Center (64 W. Lane Ave, Columbus) for the Stations of the Cross led by a local band (“Living Water” from the Church of the Resurrection). The Way of the Cross is a musical reflection on the last hours in the life of Jesus Christ and a powerful reminder of the suffering our Lord endured for our salvation. During The Way of the Cross, we combine narrative with song and journey with Jesus as He carries the cross through the crowded streets. As Christians, we know His sacrifice is not in vain and so the concert ends, as it began, singing a message of hope and awaiting the day of His resurrection. The event is free, but there will be a free will offering.
On Sunday April 10, 2011 Bishop Hartley will host the annual Kevin J. Mullin Run/Walk to benefit brain tumor research. Registration is $15 before April 10 and $20 the day of the Run/Walk. For more information call the Mullin Family at 740-756-7987 or e-mail Cmullin@columbus.rr.com
Just a reminder the option for choosing electronic contributions is continually available. Contact the office if you have any questions about this.
