RETIRED RELIGIOUS COLLECTION
Next weekend, December 11th and 12th, is the annual collection for the retired religious of our Diocese. These men and women have dedicated their lives to Catholic ministries such as teaching, comforting the sick and dying, and missionary work. The funds collected help defray the costs of health care and living expenses. Please use your preprinted envelope or put your donation in a separate envelope marked “retired religious” and place it in the collection basked. Thank you for your generosity

Each year the Catholic Men’s Luncheon Club (CMLC) presents the Columbus Diocese Catholic Man of the Year award. Nominations for the award are being accepted until December 10, 2010. Please make it a priority to participate by nominating a man from the Diocese who you believe would serve as an inspiration and would strengthen all Catholic men to continue living their vocation of holiness. ST. JOSEPH CATHEDRAL PARISH MISSION--OUR ADVENT JOURNEY TO JESUS:
You are cordially invited to attend the St. Joseph Cathedral Parish Mission on Dec. 12-15, 2010. Schedule includes 5:15 p.m. Mission Mass each evening followed by a light supper at 6:00 p.m. in the Undercroft. Preaching begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. There will be a communal Reconciliation service on Monday, the 13th, following the Mission preaching. Mission preacher is Fr. Blaise Czaja, C.P., a Passionist priest who is a very popular and well-received preacher. Please join us for this celebration of prayer and fellowship as we prepare for Christmas.

Middle School students in
the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are invited to “Jesus
Jams” at St. Catharine Church, 500 South Gould Rd. on Sunday, December 12th. The program begins with the Mass of
Sunday in St. Catharine Church at 5:00 pm followed by the “Jesus Jam” program
immediately following in St. Catharine School Gym concluding promptly at 8:00

High School students are invited to “Holiness Revolution” at St. Dominic Church, 453 N. 20th St., on Saturday, December 11th 7:00-10:00p.m. Challenging High Schoolers to embrace and live their Catholic faith, “Holiness Revolution” features music, skits, dramas, keynote speaker, student testimonies, and food in a unique environment. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5. “Holiness Revolution” is sponsored by Catholic Youth Summer Camp, Inc. (CYSC). CHRISTMAS MASS SCHEDULE
The mass schedule for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the Feast of the Holy Family is as follows:
Ø Christmas Eve: 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. and midnight
Ø Christmas Day: 10:00 a.m. There is no vigil mass on Christmas Day
Ø Feast of the Holy Family, Dec. 26th: our regular Sunday mass schedule will be followed.

Morning Prayer & Benediction will be led by The Most Rev. Frederick F. Campbell, Bishop of Columbus.
Bishop Campbell is also encouraging prayerful meditation on the Joyful Mysteries and the recitation of the Rosary on the Sundays during Advent for this intention.
All are invited to pray in solidarity with others around the world for the protection of human life.
