The Black Catholic Ministries of Columbus is sponsoring an Evangelization Revival on Nov. 15 – 17, 2010, Monday through Wednesday, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. each evening at Christ the King Church. The revival will kick off with an opening Mass at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14th, also at Christ the King. The principal speaker will be Father Maurice J. Nutt. 4-S CLUB LADIES AUXILIARY DINNER
Sunday, Nov. 14th the Ladies Club will serve dinner from noon to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $7.00 per person and carry out is available.
SPECIAL COLLECTION – HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Next Sunday, Nov. 21st, we will take up the Collection for the Catholic campaign for Human Development. CCHD has funded community groups that seek justice and create lasting change. Please use your preprinted envelopes for your donation or note your gift accordingly.

We are quickly (and unbelievably) approaching the holiday season; with that in mind please note some of the upcoming seasonal events:
v December 3rd: Chili and Carols at St. Mary School, followed by the tree lighting ceremony at Frank Fetch Park.
v The Columbus Maennerchor, Damenchor and Kinderchor annual Christmas Concert at St. Mary at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5th. Our own Bell choir will perform at this concert.
v December 5th”: the annual Village Lights will be held throughout German Village.
Rod and Staff (Fr. Rod Damico’s band) will be providing music for a special gathering for praise and worship on Sunday, November 21st at 4:00 p.m. at St. Ladislas Church, 277 Reeb Ave. The band plays original contemporary Christian music (mostly blues and rock).
Active participation is encouraged. It will be a fun and inspiring way for families to celebrate their faith in Christ the King.

the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are invited to “Jesus
Jams” at St. Catharine Church on Sun.,
Nov. 21st. The program
begins in Church with Mass at 5:00 p.m. followed by the “Jesus Jam” program
immediately following in St. Catharine School Gym concluding promptly at 8:00

or No Deal!”. The ultimate goal is to draw students into active
participation in the life, mission, and work of their local parish community. This event is
High School students are invited to “Holiness Revolution” at St. Dominic Church on Sat., Nov. 20th from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Challenging High Schoolers to embrace and live their Catholic faith. “Holiness Revolution” features music, skits, dramas, keynote speaker, student testimonies, and food in a unique environment. KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS- MENS NIGHT OUT
Join us for food, drinks, card playing, and raffles, all for only $15 on Wednesday, November 24 from 6:30 until Midnight at St. Mary school gymnasium. The Knights of Columbus Council 5429 will be sponsoring this event so bring a friend and join us in the fun!
St. Mary School Home and School Association is having their annual tree sale starting November 27th. Get your fresh cut locally grown pine trees, wreaths and garland at St. Mary School. Proceeds support the programs of the oldest elementary school in the Diocese of Columbus.

In addition there will be a representative from the Knights of Columbus stationed at the back of church this weekend and next weekend to sign up volunteers for this project.
NOMINATIONS FOR CATHOLIC
Each year the Catholic Men’s Luncheon Club (CMLC) presents the Columbus Diocese Catholic Man of the Year award. Nominations for the award are being accepted until December 10, 2010. Please make it a priority to participate by nominating a man from the Diocese who you believe would serve as an inspiration and would strengthen all Catholic men to continue living their vocation of holiness.
