always reflect the most current information with regards to the children born
into your family. When you have a child please update your family record by

We are in need of people who can volunteer to help with bingo on Sunday evenings. Bingo is our largest ongoing fund raiser; the funds generated from these weekly games contribute a significant amount of income toward the support of St. Mary’s school and parish. If you can spare one Sunday evening a month please contact the parish office at 445-9668.

BELLS of ST.
In conjunction with the Bishops Annual Appeal we are raising money for historic preservation and to offset the cost of rising tuition. We are looking forward to putting new carpet inside the church and repairing the sidewalks in front of church. We have already reached our BAA goal due to the generosity of those that made a three year pledge. However, to reach our parish goal of $150,000 we need everyone to participate. Please consider giving $100/month for ten months. Any and all amounts are welcomed! Campaign cards and brochures are available in the back of church. You can mail in your pledge cards or put it in the collection basket. Thank you in advance for your generosity
Ride your Bike with the Seminarians!
Join the seminarians of our diocese for the All-States-in-Life Ride which invites priests, religious and laity to join the men for a Social at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Granville at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19th. The Social is followed by a casual bike ride on the paved, automobile-free bike path starting in Granville and concluding 9 miles later in Alexandria with a ride back to your car at St. Edward. All are welcome for the casual ride. For more information visit or email firstname.lastname@example.org
SERRA ALTAR SERVER AWARDS….were presented to our own Jonathan Engle and Anthony Bartholomew this past weekend by Bishop Campbell at St. Joseph Cathedral. Our congratulations go out to each of the young men.
Plans are well under way for our 2010 Homecoming festival scheduled for the weekend of August 13 and 14. You should have received your raffle tickets in the mail this past week. For additional tickets stop by the parish office. Please consider volunteering 2-3 hours during this special weekend; you can contact the parish office at 445-9668 or email Ann Anderson at email@example.com.
Service Saturday is set for next weekend, May 22nd.
We are still in need of volunteers. Volunteers will help work on house projects throughout our local community for the elderly and most vulnerable among us. Last fall during Ohio's Make a Difference Day we worked on 45 projects and our goal is to make an even bigger impact this spring! Mark your calendars for May 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Even if you have only a few hours in the morning we can still use your help. We will meet at St. Mary's between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. for training and assignments. Lunch will be provided at your work site. If you are unable to volunteer, please consider making a tax deductible gift. All money will go directly to helping needy families have the homes they deserve. To once again, “make a difference” in someone's life contact Jason Shanks at firstname.lastname@example.org
YEAR OF THE PRIEST BREAKFAST
Last summer, Pope Benedict XVI declared a “Year of the Priest”, which will come to an end this June. We are going to have a Year of the Priest Breakfast on Sunday, June 13, 2010, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. This will be a time for us to celebrate the vocations of Father Thomas and Father Sylvester and thank them for answering the call and for their dedication and faithfulness to the priesthood. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. This will be a great opportunity to honor the priests of St. Mary’s with our presence and to pray for more vocations to the priesthood. Bring your family and friends. There will be information available for those discerning the priesthood and religious life.
