A ST. PATRICK’S DAY PRAYER

Legends about St. Patrick abound and details of his life are uncertain, but history agrees that he was humble and courageous in winning most of Ireland for Christ. This prayer that is attributed to him can be a wonderful blessing: Christ shield me this day: Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every person who thinks of me, Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me.

FEAST DAY of ST. JOSEPH…. in commemoration of his Feast Day on March 19, we pray: Loving God, thank you for the life and powerful intercession of your servant, Joseph.  May we who reap the benefits of his love for Jesus and Mary imitate the steadfast love for home and family. May his example bring us ever closer to Jesus, who lives and reigns with you forever and ever. Amen.
