The Dominican Learning Center is seeking volunteer tutors from your parish area to teach American adult learners as well as adult immigrants and refugees to read and write.  No experience is necessary.  All tutors will be well prepared to teach adult students.  A tutor training workshop, text books, and teacher manuals are provided by the Dominican Learning Center to each volunteer instructor.  If you are a high school graduate, and can help, please call Sr. Shawn Fitzpatrick, the Center's Director, at 614-444-7330.

The end of the school year has arrived. We have had a very good year with the students’ progress reflected in their work and skill levels achieved. On Tuesday, we graduated 30 eighth graders. We wish them well in their new schools.

A new hire for the second grade position is Miss Erin Burkett. She comes to us as a new graduate from The Ohio State University. She has her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Miss Burkett has been associated with the Tomorrow’s Teachers Scholars Program.  She has coaching experience in volleyball, basketball and high school softball. We welcome Miss Burkett to Saint Mary School.

Please remember in your prayers the family of Mr. Harpal Chohan who died recently in a boating accident. Mrs. Chohan is the Occupational Therapist at our school.

Market Day orders can be completed online throughout the summer at the Market Day web site. After a quick and easy registration process, an order can be placed online each week. The account number for St. Mary is 5792. Check out the Market Day site from the following link:
