SPECIAL ST. LEO EVENT: Mass will be celebrated at noon on December 22nd.  The St. Leo crèche (without the holy family) will be blessed. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 5:00 to 6:00pm that same day.  Watch for other opportunities to visit the crèche in the Christmas season.

Christmas Music: The Christmas Eve 4:00 p.m. Family Mass invites you to participate in the music of the Mass. Choir and instrumentalists should come to rehearsals December 9th & 16th from 12:45 to 1:45. A third rehearsal time is yet to be announced. Please plan to attend at least 2 of the 3 rehearsals and be in place and ready to sing at 3:30 p.m. on December 24th!

December 22-23 -Fourth Sunday of Advent: Regular Mass Schedule 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The Feast of Mary, Mother of God is a day of obligation this year. Mass on January 1st is at 10:00 a.m.

Village Lights December 9, 2007 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Stroll, shop, dine, and enjoy the sight of 10,000 luminaries sprinkled all over the German Village area. Many shops and stores will be open, but you can enjoy the evening just by strolling the Village streets. Our beautiful, historic church will be open for visitors. And our hand bell choir will be playing Christmas music in the church from 7:30 -8:30 pm.


Jesus Jam Rides: Rides to the Jesus Jam on December 16 can be provided for those who call Jason Shanks at 445-9668 to make a reservation.  The deadline to arrange a ride is December 14th.

Youth Group News: Our Youth Group will hold a BAKE SALE during the very popular Village Lights event on Sunday, December 9. High School students as well as 7th & 8th Graders are welcome to participate! Students might contribute a baked good or work the Bake Sale for an hour or so. Great news folks! Linda Cotter just received the North American TOP teacher award for 2007 at the National Council of Social Studies convention in San Diego, and, today I received notices that our Annie Ruefle was accepted for the National Catholic Education Award Sr. Merriam Joseph Farrell Award as the Teacher of the Year in Region 6 of the country! She will be given her award in March 2008 at the National Catholic Education Association Convention in Indianapolis! The children gave Annie a standing ovation today for the award!
