FROM FATHER THOMAS
I want to thank
everyone who contributed to the support of the parish during this last fiscal
year. Donors, volunteers, fundraisers, bingo workers all worked together
to raise the necessary funds to operate St.
A two page detailed version of the above report is on our website, or anyone can call me for a printed copy. Watch the bulletin for the next regular meeting of the finance committee as it is open to all parishioners. In the fiscal year ending June 2006, the parish had to borrow about $200,000 from the diocese. We did not have to borrow any funds this fiscal year ending in June 2007. One reason for the big difference was the change in tuition policy. Tuition was raised to help defray expenses, and then grants in aid were made to those who qualified.
Our Sunday evening bingo game contributed $50,000 to parish income last year, but we are seriously short on volunteers. Two jobs that need volunteers are sales of instant bingos from to ; and calling back numbers when someone calls out bingo from to or . Just one or two hours of your time on Sunday evening can benefit the parish a great deal.
