Can You Help? Father Thomas will need some help on Sunday, July 15 to move the contents of the Specht building to the Burkley building.  We will begin after the 9:00 mass.  There should be considerable savings realized by not heating or cooling Specht whenever it is not in use.   School security will also be improved.  Specht has been used in the way some schools use “reading” vans.  So, boxes of books and bookcases and desks will be among the items being moved.  Bring a hand truck if you have one or a refrigerator dolly.

Youth Group Meeting: High school students and 7th and 8th graders are welcome to a meeting on Sunday, July 15.  We will be making items to give to the festival white elephant stand and items to sell independently. Refreshments will be served.  The meeting starts at 6:00.  We will discuss next youth group outing while working.

Specht Plans: After a little paint up/fix up, the Specht building will house one large meeting room that will be wheel chair accessible.  It also houses the alumni archives and memorabilia room.

We Want To Know Your Thoughts: This past week, a survey was mailed to parishioners asking their viewpoint on Father Thomas’s proposal to have a three year fund drive for tuition scholarships and other school needs.  Please help out by letting us know what you think. Surveys may be dropped in the collection basket, turned in at the parish office or mailed back to the diocese or parish office by deadline is July 27th.

Archive Room: The Archive room will be open during the parish festival August 10th & 11th. Volunteers are needed to staff the room while it is open. Please call Bill Lenkey at 737-4240 if you are available to help out.

Are you computer/internet savvy? Bill Lenkey needs a volunteer or two to help search for the over 300 missing St. Mary alumni. If you would like to help in this search please call Bill at 737-4240.

Raffle tickets: You may turn your raffle tickets in by dropping them in the collection basket, bringing them to the parish office, or mailing them back to the parish. Additional rafffle tickets are available at the parish office.

Limited office hours: The parish office will have limited hours the week of July 2-5. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.

Football coaches needed: The Western Knights football program (for Ready feeder Catholic Schools) is in need of coaches. Please call Bob Thornton at 274-1495.

 Homecoming Festival News. . .

something old . . .  and something new!

1)  The Homecoming Festival WHITE ELEPHANT SALE is back! We are pleased that the White Elephant sale returns to our Homecoming Festival. We'd love to help you clean out your garage or basement or teenager's bedroom! Please drop off your donations (clearly marked  "White Elephant" ) on the back rectory porch or at the front of the school. NO CLOTHING, please! Questions?  Call Mary Wickham 464-2869 or Annie Ruefle 261-8671.

Drop off your contributions in the boxes near the doors of church. Thanks!

3) Another new addition to the Homecoming Festival will be SPIRIT BASKETS RAFFLE. We hope to have a dozen or more baskets filled with wine, champagne, imported beer or top shelf spirits/libations!
