Do you want to be an Altar Server? Deacon Roger Minner will be training all those students who would like to be an altar server or feel they need a refresher course Sunday May 27th and Sunday June 3rd following the 9:00am Mass.  Meet in the Church. 

Chaplet: If you would like to lead the Divine Mercy chaplet before a Sunday 9:00 mass, please call Patty Collins at 253-3824 and you will be put on the schedule. A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board.

Bishop’s Annual Appeal Update: We began the bishop’s Annual Appeal May 5-6 and so far the results are encouraging. St. Mary’s 2007 target amount for The Bishop’s Annual Appeal is $43,539.98. Remember, any amount donated exceeding our parish goal returns to the parish once the pledges are completely paid in full. This has been a huge help to parish finances in recent years.


Pregnancy Decision Health Centers offers H.E.A.R.T. (Healing the Effects of Abortion Related Trauma), a biblically-based workshop for women and men who have unresolved feelings about their abortion experiences.  The seven-week class is offered quarterly for women, and several times a year for men.  The women’s summer group, starting June 12, is forming now.  Call Kristin at 614-888-8774 for more information.   


Pregnancy Decision Health Centers is in immediate need of maternity clothes, and diapers and clothing for premature infants. Clothing may be new or gently used.  All items may be dropped off during business hours at PDHC at 665 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., or at Columbus’ Biggest Baby Shower on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church.

JOIN is celebrating its 40th Anniversary and is looking for all who have volunteered, worked for or been associated with The Joint Organization for Inner City Needs during these past forty years,  We invite you  to join  in the celebration at ST Joseph Cathedral on June 6. Jubilee of Anniversaries 2007 will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at St. Matthew Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna at 2:30 p.m. Married couples celebrating their 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th, Anniversary and every year thereafter are encouraged to attend. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Campbell and a reception in your honor will be held following the Mass. Call the Marriage and Family Life Office at 241-2560 for reservation information. We did it! Thanks to the hundreds of attendees, donors and volunteers, the Gala was an amazing success. We collected over $46,000, including more than $11,000 on the Silent Auction alone. Thank you for your support!

·  Catholic Communication Campaign For more than 25 years, the Catholic Communication Campaign has been spreading the Gospel message locally and nationally on radio, TV, in print and on the Internet. Donations from Catholic parishioners, like you, make the work of the CCC possible.

Bishop Ready High School will hold its 9th Annual Middle School Football Camp on June 25-28 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Bishop Ready High School. Any current 5th-8th graders are welcome. The cost for the camp is $50. Brochures are available in the back of church (or at the school office).

FYI: Montaña de Luz is an orphanage in Honduras for HIV/AIDS children. In June, parishioner Erin McKernan will be going there to work on a summer project as part of a mission trip. Erin is collecting painting/maintenance tools, and personal products that are greatly needed. For more info about Montaña de Luz, please visit or contact Erin at for a full list of items needed.
