The three traditional pillars of Lenten observance are prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Fasting: There was an error in the Growing in Faith insert.  Under the One Minute Meditation it should read:

Lenten abstinence: According to Canon 1252, all Catholics after their 14th birthday are required to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and the Fridays during Lent. Those not required to abstain are encouraged to engage in some form of penance in the spirit of the season.

Choir: singers and instrumentalist are invited to join the 9:00 or 11:30 choir during the Lenten season / Easter Services. For additional information on dates and time of rehearsals, contact Joy Seipp 9:00 choir 871-4487 or Amanda Walker 11:30 choir. The Handbell choir is looking for additional ringers for the Saturday Easter Vigil Mass and Easter Sunday. contact Amanda Walker at
