Parish    $164,000.                            $256,000.

St. Ladislas and Southside Community Ministries need our help. Any basic shelf-life food such as cereal, peanut butter, or canned goods is most welcome. The pantries also need monetary gifts to purchase large quantities of food from Mid Ohio Foodbank ($2.00 will buy 10 cases of corn)! Volunteers will be at the back of church after each mass to accept your donations. We appreciate all offerings!

Next week is our parish collection for The Catholic Times weekly newspaper. Subscription envelopes are included in your February collection packet. If you use ECO please just put your subscription renewal in a plain white envelope marked The Catholic Times and include your name. For $14 per year, subscribers receive a Catholic perspective on the world around us. Local, national, worldwide and Vatican news, as well as diocesan, parish, and school stories, articles and events are delivered right to your home. Bishop Campbell encourages every Catholic family to subscribe to The Catholic Times. Look for your envelope and sign up for, or re-subscribe to the newspaper of our diocese.

Help Saint Mary School earn a few extra dollars and help to save the planet at the same time! The big green and yellow bin on our parking lot holds all of our recycled paper; every month, we receive a check (averaging about $90.00) for the paper we have in our bin.  Many German Village residents use our bin and we invite our parish families to recycle all their household newspapers, junk mail, and magazines, too. The more paper recycled, the more we earn-- and we’ve saved a tree or two, as well.

From now until March 31, Abitibi Recycling is offering a special recycling promotion: If we can increase our paper recycling by 25%, they will send us a check for $250; if we increase our recycling by 50%, we’ll receive a check for $500! Please save up your household paper and drop it in the recycling bin and make sure this bulletin is recycled, too! No cardboard please.

St. Mary’s will host “Bully-Proofing Youth – Parent Edition Tuesday, February 13th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the school gym. The focus will be on practical things parents can do at home to support their children, including the technique of role playing exercises with kids, the goal being able to stop the cycle. Presenter: Jim Bisenius.

Bishop Hartley High School invites you to attend its Winter Open House scheduled for Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m.  If you missed our Open House in November, this is a second opportunity to visit and tour our school.
