ECO (Electric Contributions Option) Program is always open for new sign-ups. See the information at the rear of church or call the parish office. ECO –schedule: Weekly October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; bi-weekly 9, 23, monthly 1st or 15th.

The Wednesday night Bible Study Group will meet at 7 p.m. 2nd floor of the Burkley Center.

The Tuesday Night Bible Study with Jason Shanks will meet at 6 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Burkley Center. We are studying the Acts of the Apostles.

RCIA will meet this Wednesday, October 4th beginning at 6:30 in the church for prayer and then the presentation in the atrium Bible Basics.

Offertory Gifts: Would your family like to carry up the gifts at offertory? Sign up sheets to do so are near the pictures of the Pope and Bishop. If you are carrying up the gifts please introduce yourself to the ushers before Mass.

Correction – the October calendar shows the PPC meeting October 30th! It is really the 4th Monday, 23rd.

Deacon Tony Steinacker is scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood Saturday, October 28th at 11 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Calhoon St., Fort Wayne, Indiana. A reception will follow in the Grand Wayne Center just across the street from the cathedral. Tony was assigned here as a transitional deacon and invites all to his ordination. If you are unable to attend, please keep Tony in your prayers. Tony is currently assigned to St. Charles Church 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne IN 46815.

Youth Hayride: All youth in grades 7th-12th should mark their calendars for Saturday October 21st as we travel to CircleSFarms for a hayride and bonfire.  The cost is $5.00.  Permission slips are located in the back of Church.  We will all come to the 4pm Mass and then leave soon after Mass.  This should be a great fun for all!

The Columbus Jewish trio Shireinu will present the program “Ten Years of our Favorite Jewish Music from America and beyond” in St. Mary Church on Sunday afternoon October 8th at 2:00pm.  Free-will donations will be welcomed.

Service Saturday: St. Mary’s and Catholic Social Services are teaming up to help those on the Southside Saturday, October 28th from 9am to 3pm.  Please sign up in the back of Church if you can participate.  Contact Jason for more information at 445-9668 or

4:00 p.m. Mass participants: Every once in a while, we have inserts to place in the bulletin. When you arrive at Mass, could you please ask the usher if help is needed? We are working to reduce the number of inserts to save on paper and to make the bulletin itself the preferred means of communication. In the mean time, please help if you can.

The Catholic Foundation 21st Annual Meeting and Dinner is Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 6 p.m. Please join us at St. Charles Preparatory School as we welcome Bishop Thomas J. Rodi from the Diocese of Biloxi to speak on the strength of the Catholic community in the gulf region. All proceeds from this event will be given to the Diocese of Biloxi to help rebuild parishes, schools, and to continue to support the good works of the community in this time of need. Tickets: $85 per person / Table of 8: $600. Cash bar, wine served with dinner.
