BAA –The theme for the 2006 Bishop’s Annual Appeal, “Called to Serve Others”, explains the reason we give and the importance of our gifts. At St. Mary’s, we look to the past with deep gratitude for the great dedication of the generations which have preceded us. As people of faith, it is our turn to step up for future generations as we look to the future with a profound sense of hope. This year, our diocesan goal is $41,714. Our development committee has recommended to me that we make our goal as a parish this year a total of $100,000. Please prayerfully reflect upon a gift in proportion to your financial blessings.  If you have not yet filled in your 2006 Bishop’s Annual Appeal envelope please do so soon. We are obligated to contact everyone who does not respond.

Dear parishioners,

On Monday we will be saying goodbye to our eighth graders.  We will have a baccalaureate Mass at 8:30AM.  Graduation will take place at 7:00 PM in the church.  We certainly want to wish them all the best in the future.  We pray for God’s blessing to be with them always.

The school year is nearly at an end and the students are all hoping for a fun-filled summer. But even though we are on vacation from out classroom activities and teachers we are never on vacation from the church and God. No matter where you may be you can always find a Catholic church nearby.

The 2006 Bishop’s Annual Appeal is beginning to wind down. We hope to conclude the appeal and total up our final pledges and contributions. If you have not yet responded please do so soon. Thank you to all who have already participated in this appeal.

As always, I pray for the Lord to bless all of you and your families.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

Fr. Hammond
