FROM THE PASTOR

Dear parishioners,

We congratulate our second graders who receive First Holy Communion at the 4:00 Mass this Saturday!  May the Lord Jesus, who gives us His sacred body and blood, help them and all of us to grow in the knowledge of His precious love for us.  Nourished by Jesus himself, may we then go forth to the world and proclaim this Good News to all people.

I want to be sure to wish all of our mothers a Happy Mother’s Day!  Thank you for giving us the gift of life and the gift of your love.  We thank God for the sign of His love that we see and experience in a mother’s love.  And we ask the Lord to keep all of our mothers in His loving care.

The 2006 Bishop’s Annual Appeal is off to a good start.  I ask everyone to pray for the success of this appeal, as it can potentially benefit not only the diocese but St. Mary’s as well.  I encourage everyone to be as generous as you can, and I thank you for your consideration and participation in this appeal.

As always, I pray for the Lord to bless all of you and your families.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

Fr. Hammond
