FROM THE PASTOR
I want to encourage you to support the Bishop’s Annual Appeal that begins next weekend, May 6-7. The Bishop’s Annual Appeal is a source of hope and inspiration for so many in our midst. Our parish family has been asked to raise $41,714.67. As you know, we have a tradition of setting a parish goal so that the Appeal helps not only our diocese, but our parish as well. Thanks to your generosity, we have been very successful in this endeavor in recent years.
This year, our Development Committee recommends that we set a parish goal of $100,000. Any money over the diocesan goal comes back to St. Mary’s, so if we make this goal $58,285.33 will be returned to our parish. In order to reach this goal, I am asking each household to consider a gift of at least $600.00. As you prayerfully reflect upon a gift in proportion to your financial blessing, please know that the Bishop and I are grateful to you for your sacrifice, regardless of the amount.
I ask everyone to please pray for the success of this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Thank you, and may God bless you!
Sincerely in Christ,
With Praise and Thanksgiving to Almighty God
