Dear parishioners,

Once again, I want to thank everyone for your generous response to St. Mary’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal.  As of this writing on Wednesday, we currently have over $112,000 pledged!  There is still time for those who have not yet had the opportunity to participate, and we still hope to make our parish goal of $150,000, as this will help us to continue the various ministries of our parish and school.

As you know, this weekend we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi, the solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ.  What a tremendous gift the Lord gives to us in the Eucharist!  Please join us for our Adoration and Procession.  After the 11:30 Mass we will have the opportunity for Adoration until 3:00 PM, at which time the procession will begin.  We plan to process down 3rd Street and around Schiller Park, then back up 3rd Street to the Church.  This is a great way to give public witness to our Catholic faith, so please come if you can!

Please also remember that this coming Friday is a first Friday, so we again will have Adoration following the noon Mass until we begin the Rosary, Evening Prayer, and Benediction at 5:00 PM.  Friday is also the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so it will definitely be a good time to come and pray before the Blessed Sacrament.

As always, I continue to pray for the Lord’s blessing to be with all of us at St. Mary’s.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

Fr. Hammond
